Michelle is an active member of the mountain bike community, rides for Steed Cycles in North Vancouver and has been very involved in the North Shore Mountain Bike League both as a coach and administrator. As a break from coaching, she splits her time ski touring in the Coastal Mountains of BC and travelling to her favourite surf break in Bali Indonesia, Old Man’s at Tugu Beach, Canggu. Michelle's proven record as a coach known for achieving results and training in wellness and homeopathy make her a uniquely qualified performing edge coach. Always educating herself further, Michelle recently completed "The Science of Well Being" through Yale University. COACH She has over 20 yrs experience as a Level 3 coach/Level 3 NCCP in Alpine Ski Racing and several years coaching Mountain Biking to high school students in Vancouver. She has competed in the International arena, winning multiple stage races in mountain biking and setting a course record in the Stony Lake Triathlon in Ontario. COMPETITOR She has trained and competed as a downhill ski racer in Southern Ontario, competitive tennis player and as a tower diver. At the University of Western Ontario, she competed on the Women’s Varsity Ski Team and Rowing team. From her base in Vancouver, B.C., her love of adventure racing and mountain biking grew. She competed and won several Sea 2 Summits, Test of Metals, and the BC Bike Race. She has competed in multiple Grand Fondos, and podiumed in the 7 day TransRockies mountain bike stage race. |
